TECHNICAL DESIGN SPECIALIST

Key Objectives

Design and develop product samples based on customer requirements, ensuring aesthetic value, production feasibility, and compliance with the company’s technical standards; closely coordinate with relevant departments to optimize the sample development process.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in project initiation by designing products in accordance with provided technical requirements and guidelines.

• Depending on each project, coordinate with relevant technical departments such as pattern making, sample sewing, and order follow-up teams to adjust designs in line with production capabilities.

• Receive product design requirements and technical documents from customers; communicate and develop hand-drawn or software-based sketches based on initial technical criteria.

• Propose recommendations for optimal sample solutions to customers, including product details, fabric selection, and suitable color options.

• Maintain and archive design records and documents in accordance with company regulations.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by direct supervisors.

Experience and Desired Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Garment Technology, Fashion Design, Textile & Garment Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical design or sample/product development within the garment industry; experience in bags & backpacks, vest & jacket.
• Good understanding of garment manufacturing processes, product construction, pattern making, and basic sewing techniques.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (sketching); knowledge of Photoshop is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work directly with international customers.
• Good English communication skills; able to read technical documents and communicate with customers effectively.
• Creative yet analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.
